1. Yamunotri Temple :-

Yamunotri temple is the most important place among all the places in Yamunotri and this temple is dedicated to goddess Yamuna. The Yamunotri temple was built by Amar Singh Thapa in 18th century and was re-built again in 19th century because of getting damaged twice by snow and floods, this temple is located at an elevation of 3291 meters above from sea level.

2. Surya Kund :-

The temperature of Surya kund is around 88◦c and is situated near Yamunotri temple. It is considered to be the offspring of Lord Surya, the spring was named after Goddess Yamuna who is believed to be the daughter of Lord surya and is use for boiling things, due to it’s high temperature you cannot take dip inside it.

3. Saptrishi Kund :-

This kund is 10 km in distance from Yamunotri and is situated at an altitude of 4421 meters above from sea level.  It is a place where Saptrishi meditated and from here river Yamuna originates.

4. Janki Chatti :-

Janki chatti is a small town located at a distance of 10km from Yamunotri and at an elevation of 4421 meters above from sea level. The place is famous for pilgrimage and a hot spring near it, this place is also popular for 7km trekking from Hanuman Chatti to janki Chatti.

5. Hanuman Chatti :-

Hanuman chatti is a place where a popular temple of lord Hanuman is situated and the place is 13 km away from Yamunotri and 2400 meters above from sea level, from Hanuman Chatti you can do trekking for Darwa top and Dodi Tal.

6. Barkot :-

Barkot is a popular hill place for tourism and is famous for it’s beauty, it is located at a distance of 50 km from Yamunotri and at an altitude of 1220 meters above from sea level from here you can see the wonderful panoramic view of Mountain peaks.

1. Gangotri Temple :-

Gangotri temple is one of the most famous place in Gangotri and was named after Goddess Ganga from here the River Ganga is originated. 300 years ago Gangotri temple was constructed by Amar Singh thapa( Nepalese general) and is located at an elevation of 3100 meters above from sea level.

2. Ganges Glacier:-

Ganges glacier is 29.9 km from Gangotri and located at a height of 4238 meters above from sea level. The Ganges glacier starts from Chaukhamba and merges with Gaumukh, the water of Ganges glacier is believed to be pure and remains clean for long years.

3. Kedar Tal:-

Kedar Tal is a popular destination for trekking and require guide for it, Kedar tal is also known as Shiva’s lake which is situated at an altitude of 4750 meters above from sea level and at a distance of 17 km from Gangotri.

4. Gangnani:-

Gangnani is situated at a distance of 52.3km from Gangotri and at an elevation of 2620 meters above from sea level. In Gangnani there is a famous hot spring which is known as Rishikund and is considered as a best place for meditation from here you can see the wonderful view of mountains surrounded near Gangotri. Many people take holy dip in this hot spring before going to Gangotri.

5. Gaumukh:-

Gaumukh trek is located at a distance of 15.6 km from Gangotri and 4023 meters above from sea level, the place is considered as the famous place for pilgrimage site as well as trekking and due to 2013 flood the front end of Gaumukh was destroyed.

Uttarkashi is one of the most important pilgrimage destination and provide support to various popular temples such as Lord Vishwanath Temple, Ekadash Rudra temple, Bhairav temple, Kuteti Devi temple and Gyaneshwar temple. 1. Kedarnath Temple :-

The Kedarnath temple is located at a height of 3584 Meters above from sea level. It is believe that the kedarnath temple was founded by the pandavas, it opens in the month of May and June and timing to visit the temple is 4:00 am to 3:00 pm and 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

2. Vasuki Tal :-

5. Sonprayag :-
